The AD of Accounting Policy and Research will provide accounting policy advice and perform research into the appropriate GAAP accounting for normal and one time business transactions under the supervision of the Chief Accounting Officer. Primary responsibilities will include providing advice and assistance in developing appropriate accounting policies for the finance organization and assisting the Chief Accounting Officer in the review of the financial statements and transactions of the company for compliance with USGAAP. These activities will include researching and documenting the proper accounting treatment for proposed and completed transactions, providing assistance to finance personnel on the proper accounting for transactions, coordination of the external audit reviews of accounting issues, researching and disseminating the impact of new accounting pronouncements, assisting in the documentation of appropriate accounting policies, and participating in the review of the annual and quarterly financial statements. | ||||
